Daikin Industries Ltd. and Daikin Europe NV have opened their new production plant in the Czech Republic in September 2004. Located near Plzen in West Bohemia, this plant supplies the residential air conditioning market in Southern and SouthernWest Europe. 

Airconditioning is the main business of Daikin company all around the world and also the factory in Pilsen is producing aircondition units. Production in Pilsen is focused on smaller residential units, while Ostend in Belgium continues to produce high value added units for commercial and industrial use.

Why Pilsen?

Czech Republic and especilly Pilsen itself was choosen as a best place where to build up a new factory because of a very atractive location close to German border, fast access to highway network serving southern Europe and because of good skilled labour force in the region, as well as a seat of technical university.
