New test climate chambers

Due to the ongoing expansion and development activities in our Daikin Industries Czech Republic (DICz), three new climate chambers were built. Altogether 10 of them have been built here and we are able to carry out various types of tests. Let's take a look below for the last 3 types, built in 2016/2017, which represent an investment of more than 200 million crowns, look closer.

Each climate chamber is composed of two parts. One simulates the indoor environment in the building (Indoor) and the other outdoor environment (Outdoor). In each section we can set different climatic conditions (temperature and humidity). Under these conditions, our units (air conditioning and heat pumps) are then tested and developed. All newly built chambers can test units with a thermal output of up to 20HP (over 50kW).

Environmental chamber 20HP

We can achieve temperatures of -20 to +60 ° C and also thanks to the unique technology of dual air-conditioning units and AC-defrosting, the chamber is capable of maintaining high humidity even at very low temperatures (for example, 99% humidity at -15 ° C). In this chamber, our engineers verify in practice the behavior of newly developed units, for example, for the North Norwegian market, where climatically extreme and frosty conditions are often prevalent, but there are also developments in the Middle East where the demands on the developed units are quite the opposite.

Anechoic (sound) chamber 20HP

This chamber is still the most expensive and sophisticated in DICz. It is a special type of multiple soundproofed chambers with internal, non-impact wall treatment. Additionally, the Indoor section simulates indoor flooring, with a sound background of less than 7dBA. In an outdoor simulation chamber (Outdoor) where the floor is solid due to the transport of heavier units, the background is less than 10 dBA. For silence, a typical room has about 20dBA. In such an isolated environment, our engineers optimize the operation and construction of the unit to minimize interference with the appearance of both the customer at home and outside. Everything is then shown on the customer's label at the store. This information is also available to the customer.
