The third year of practical training at Sound and Vibration took place in the second week of June in Daikin Europe office in Gent, Belgium. This four-day training is designed as a comprehensive practical cycle that guides participants through the complete process of investigation of sound and vibration issues – from the initial introduction to the final presentation of results.

93 years old. More than 60 years of experience. And still an active part of Daikin. 👏 At Daikin, we believe in the power of collaboration between generations. That is why, last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming a true legend of our company – Mr. Yasushi Yamada, who, even at the age of 93, has lost none of his sharp judgment.

In the current fiscal year, we have implemented a company-wide salary increase of 4%, representing a total investment of CZK 50 million. We see this step as an important recognition of our people, as well as support for their continued motivation and stability. 💙

Investing in innovations that power the future of data centers. Daikin Applied Americas has announced a $163 million investment in a new 6,600 m² R&D testing center set to open in Minnesota in 2027 🔬

In today’s world, it is essential to respond to changes in the market brought about by new legislation and the growing demand for environmentally friendly solutions, particularly the need to reduce the carbon footprint. Daikin has always anticipated and supported these changes. The result is a new range of VRV units using refrigerant R744 (CO₂), designed for the European market. Specifically, it consists of two types of equipment: ceiling cassettes and concealed ceiling units.

This time, we focus on Quality Month, look back on Daikin's 20th anniversary celebration in Pilsen, and also feature voluntary blood donation, interviews with our colleagues, and an overview of what has been happening at our company in recent months.

As part of our company event Voluntary Blood Donation, organized in cooperation with the Transfusion Department of the University Hospital in Plzeň, dozens of our colleagues from various departments took part in donating blood. Their willingness to help truly makes a difference – one blood donation can help up to three patients who are in urgent need of it.
We would like to thank all colleagues who came, donated, and proved that solidarity is more than just a word.

In February 2025, sales of our new system based on Multi units have been launched. Phase two follows the ‘DHW Multi+’ system introduced in 2022 as a compact solution for heating, cooling,  but also domestic hot water (DHW), targeting households or accommodation capacities for 2 to 3 people. 

We hosted an international conference on automation and manufacturing engineering!
From June 16 to 18, 2025, Daikin welcomed over 40 representatives from 12 Daikin group factories.
The main topic? Sharing experiences and successful projects in the field of automation and manufacturing engineering.

Following the success of the Optimized Heating 4 (OH4) outdoor unit range launched in 2017, Daikin has decided to develop the next generation of Optimized Heating 5 (OH5) with a focus on higher specifications, more intelligent features and a wider portfolio of connectable indoor units.

This year's competition brought not only impressive performances but also a new twist – contestants were directly selected by line managers to ensure each production line and shift had its own representative.

The third generation of Daikin Emura units comes with a new design. It targets customers who not only expect flawless functionality from their home appliances, but also want their home furnishings to reflect their own style and aesthetic sense.

When trying to develop smart HVAC units that will behave in many different types of spaces, rooms, and situations and achieve the best possible comfort feeling, we faced the question, "How to simulate and measure all comfort parameters in a realistic environment of the customer's home?"
